Hi All:
We made it to Watson Lake with no problems. Trip of about 280 miles. We drove thru a heck of a rain storm in the mountains about where we crossed over the Continental Divide. Think we have crossed that thing about 4 or 5 times on this trip so far, and have a few more crossings to go before we get done..
We walked around the town of Watson Lake. This is the town that they have the "Sign Forest". We put up our signs on the way up. There must be nearly 100,000 signs there. Could not possibly count them all. We did find out sign that Bob made for us again...
Leaving in the morning for Fort Nelson farther down the road about 300 miles, then another 300 the next day to Dawson Creek where we will turn south toward Prince George.
The temp here is about 55 now. Pretty nice. I’m getting used to this weather I guess. Will feel like Ken when I finally get back to Florida. Will have to get used to the heat and humidity.. Humidity here is pretty high now due to the rain, and all the mud puddles everywhere. One thing we don’t keep very long in Florida is a mud puddle..
Have to take the computer to the main building to get the WiFi here, so will walk over there and copy and past this in the blog.
Phone in the Saturn does not work here either. Didn’t work at the last campground either. Hear that most cell type phones etc don’t work in Yukon except ones that you buy here??? Wonder why that is???? Conspiracy???
