Hi Again:

We are Tok, AK now. Stayed in Glennallen at a campground that didn't have their WiFi working naturally, so no blog. The campgrounds all advertise that they have WiFi, but they don't tell you that they don't work till your get settled in. Any way, we are at the "Sourdough Campground" just South of Tok, Alaska. It's about 9o miles from the Canadian Border and we will be crossing it day after tomorrow. Hope we get across as easy as we did when we came up here.

We left Anchorage for Glennallen and stopped to rest the legs etc and took off and was only on the road for a short time when a car passed us and pointed at Bob's tow car. We stopped and found that the left front tire was GONE. All that was left was about two inches of side wall on each side of the wheel. It had been running flat till the wheel cut thru the tire and threw it along the way somewhere. Bob did have a full size spare and we got it changed with no problems. I think the minimal damage on the aluminum wheel won't cause him any trouble. We checked the town of Glennallen and it was Saturday, so no one was open. Plan to try to get a new tire for him tomorrow (Monday). It could have been a lot worse if that car had not passed us, and there are very few cars of any kind on these roads. I sure don't look forward to getting down in the lower states to fight the traffic. There is almost NO traffic here. If it weren't for the tourists in motorhome etc there would be NO vehicles on these roads...

We are now on our way home. Have decided NOT to go down thru California due to all the fires there, but will swing East out of Washington and on over and swing South to Pheonix to visit Jack. Should be at his place the first part of August. The new road plan we did last night has us getting home around the 15 to the 20th of August. Still have a lot to do and see.

Have to bring my computer to the office building to get WiFi here, but at least it works.

Better get back to the site to see what the girls have planned for us today...
