3 July 2008

Hi All:

Another day in Anchorage, AK. The weather continues to be super. We went in to town today and went to a theater to see a show about the Northern Lights. Pretty nice, some beautiful shots of the lights, and the music was good too. The show was about 30 minutes long. Had a little trouble keeping eyes open. The music by guitar, and then piano was soothing!!!. Think we went to the ULU factory. It’s a special knife the Alaskians use to cut meat and everything else I think. They are for sale every where. Think Amy may have bought a couple???. Just another gift shop is all I could see. Then went to a walmart and came home. Not doing to much all at once here. Kinda restful and nice. The knee sure is happy about it.

Went to a grocery store in the evening to get some things Amy needed to get us through Canada. Don’t want to have to buy very much in Canada. Cost is a lot higher there.

Got on line to check Amy’s cell phone and they finally had something posted as to what they are charging us to use it here in Alaska. All we have used it for is to make reservations at campgrounds and that’s all. Not sure how many minutes we have used, the bill didn’t indicate that, BUT they indicated our bill was almost $200.00 more than normal. Really can’t justify that much use. Will do some more checking. Did add some more minutes to the car phone. It’s cheaper to use..
Photo is a mountain right beside us driving down the road. Beautiful country
That’s about all for today. Pretty slow day. I’m glad...
