20 July 2008

Hi All: We made it to Mount Vernon, WA at about 1500. It was along trip. A lot of ups and downs coming down the valley from Cashe Creek. No big mountains, just a lot of ups and downs with a brisk head wind most of the way.. To make things worse it took about one and a half hours to get thru customs in to Washington. It only took us about 2 minutes after we made it to the gate. Seemed like most of British Columbia was coming across the border when we were there. Traffic lined up behind us as far as I could see. I was fit to be tied....But glad to get back in the USA.

It sure is a lot warmer here. Had to use the AC coming here, and then had to turn it on in the Motor Home also.

Real nice campground with paved interior roads. Amy plans to do some laundry here tomorrow, and I hope I can find a place to wash the car. It sure is filthy.

Plan to leave for the Seattle area Tuesday. It's a short drive. Have reservations at a campground that isn't to far from Joe and Judy's place. We'll call them when we get in, then visit with them Wednesday I guess, then back on the road again toward Phoenix..

No photo's this time. Didn't download what Amy took today..
